Faith
04:02
|
|||
Under a new feign and forgotten lies
A new reign marches on into the night
Underfoot the vermin flee
Crushed beneath the treads
Under the gaze of apathy eyes
Into the nothing of intolerant pride
The guise of honour and truth is laid to rest
The age of dictated lives approaches with batons raised
Sifting through the residue of hate
Persecuted and desecrated for the lives they choose to lead
Persecuted and desolated for their faith
For their faith
Witness to the repetition, creator watches on, deities recline
Grim and faded we reside with the lines
Fearful and jaded, consecrated finds
Behind erected walls and barren minds
A new destitute hierarchy will rise
Under heel the remnants flee, carted off to unknown lands
For the shade of hide, for the tick of the tongue
Persecuted and desecrated for birth into the skin
Persecuted and desolated for their faith
For their Faith

Mirrorworlds
04:45
|
|||
A maze of dimensions intertwined
Realms coexist with oblivious need
Amidst the seas of broken dreams
I walk along the splintered paths
The division between realities
The borders of the mirrored worlds
Within the void of absent breath
The kings of old do plot return
Inside the holes in space and time
Ancient beings of myth reside
Under the bright sparkling dome of life
Evermore resigned to mortal earth design
Translucent facades obscure the true form
Of creatures from another realm
They came across to take us
Absolve us of our greed and sin
Parallel universe collide
In incomprehensible magnitude
The dissolution of form from matter to state
Resolved in perceived subservience
Amidst the seas of broken dreams
I walk along the splintered paths
The division between realities
The borders of the mirrored worlds
Within the void of absent breath
The kings of old do plot return
Inside the holes in space and time
Ancient beings of myth reside
One world alone to rule them all
One sole desire to conquer all
One reality to encompass all
One entity to consume all
An actuality among the fade
Fragile functions lost to dust
Mighty civilizations embroiled in war
The right to claim dominion over worlds
Amidst the seas of broken dreams
I walk along the splintered paths
The division between realities
The borders of the mirrored worlds
Within the void of absent breath
The kings of old do plot return
Inside the holes in space and time
Ancient beings of myth reside

Spires of Heavens
05:29
|
|||
Under a serving sun
Among the destitute wastes
Spires rise to greet the heavens
A temple to their gods
Such effort used
To create such structures
An attempt to justify existence
And contemplate their gods
Abandoned or just forgotten
Lost or just void
A waste of precious resources
An avid loss of life
Such glamour obtained
From an engineered feat
Faith, sublime, corrupted
A play on their beliefs
Fate, resentment, power
He who holds god holds all
Submitted servants of kings
Forced to do their bidding
Sculpt monoliths from dirt
To appease the sacred scrolls
Enthralled in the notion of a higher place
A better place, where one can touch reality
The spires that grasp the clouds above
Extend far into the skies
Huge pyramids and parthenons
A tribute to their toll
A place of sacred worship
A ground for vicious sacrifice
A bleeding pool from which
Their deities can drink
Faith, sublime, corrupted
A play on their beliefs
Fate, resentment, power
He who holds god holds all
Enthralled in the notion of a higher place
A better place, where one can touch reality
Enchanted by the words of a cretin priest
A stealer of souls a seller of lies
A testament to glory
A reminder of their toils
This molten beast of
Tailored gristle and mortar
The physical embodiment
The solitary symbol
Of all their hopes and fears
All their lies and dreams
Faith, sublime, corrupted
A play on their beliefs
Fate, resentment, power
He who holds god holds all

Sun Borne
04:22
|
|||
Under a miasma of stars
And translucent celestial forms
The produce of carbon based life
Indignant worship of the aeon born
Their places of recompense follow the sun
And righteously serve the mother of stars
Harmonic resonance devoid
Eclectic wisdom unbound
Under a burning sky
Ashes seep into the soil
Infernal majesty unfolds
Before the weeping mortal eyes
To live within the burning realms
Of pulsating eternal windward fire
Formed from ancient spaceward dust
Deities watch in sultry silence
And when the shards of splintered planets
Rain down upon unwary souls
The faulting hearts and minds will pray
Pray, for arcane masters
To grant freedom from the faulting flesh
And join anon in omnipresent ecstasy
Omnipresent, traveller of infinite dimensions
Reapers of infinite time and space
Breathe the honey of life
Into all sentient articles
Arousal of power
Designers of faith
Remnants of aeons
And masters of fate

Closure
07:17
|
|||
The flowers withered and decayed
Under the wilting light of a dying sun
The fauna lost the gift of sight
In the eternal shifting night
A witness to the greater end
A non believer in the fold
Perpetually infinite resistance
To the higher place
Collapsing from the spires of heavens
Plunging down to earth's rotten core
I saw the end, I felt it scream
I saw the end, it called my name
Sunborne and infinite
These gods were not meant to fall
Not supposed to lose their faith
Blood dripping from the mirror worlds
I never knew what to believe
Between forked tongues
And ancient lies
I never understood the truth
In suffering, in closure
A witness to the fallen worlds
At the edge of the earth, I weep
Not for the lives long lost
But for my lack of comprehension
As the earth crumbles away beneath my feet
And the wastelands fill my lungs with ash
I'll never know what killed us
I never knew what to believe
Between forked tongues
And ancient lies
I never understood the truth
In suffering, in closure
I never killed another man
I never questioned anything
But now why is it that
I am the last one left
For sake of sense
Grant me peace
Among the valleys of deceased
For sake of sense
Grant me peace
Among the valleys of deceased
